Evening Series - 15 July 2025

The penultimate match in the evening series was fished on a blustery overcast evening that was a little cooler than previous days. As there were 7 participants they were all placed on the dam wall to avoid the issues created by low water levels.

The winner on the night was Andy Gabb from peg 18 with 9lb 9oz that included as bream, Andy was the only one of the participants to entice a bream on the evening. Peter Turner was second from peg 19 with a mixed bag of 1lb 8oz and Steve Pearce was third from peg 14 with 1lb 5oz .

With one match to go Andy Gabb leads the aggregate with 95 points, followed by Roger Stokes on 88, Peter Turner on 76 and Dick Vizard on 70.

Evening Series - 8 July 2025

The latest evening series was fished on a warm, calm sunny evening with 9 members fishing. The water levels are now getting low making the low numbers difficult.

The winner on the night was Peter Turner on peg 15 with 24lb 2oz mad up of 4 bream caught later in the match with a handful of small roach. Roger Stokes was second on peg 9 with 6lb 1oz that included one bream and roach, Andy Gabb was third on peg 16 with 5lb 3oz with 1 bream and roach.

Evening Series - 1 July 2025

The latest evening series was fished on a warm, calm sunny evening with 10 members fishing.

The winner on the night was Peter Turner on peg 17 with 32lb 14oz made up of 8 bream caught in the second half of the match. Andy Gabb was second on peg 25 with 8lb 9oz of skimmers and roach, Roger Stokes was third on peg 15 with 7lb 4oz with 1 bream and silvers.

Charity Match - 29 June 2025

The Charity Match was fished at Tortworth on 29th June, on a warm hot calm evening.

The winner was Peter Turner on peg 18 with 27lb 5oz that included 4 bream with skimmers and roach. Roger Stokes was a close second with 24lb 13oz form peg 16 that included 5 bream and silvers. Jack Lewis was third on Peg 9 with a mixed silvers bag of 6lb 6oz.

Evening Series - 24 June 2025

The latest Evening Series match was fished at Tortworth on 24th June, on a warm cloudy blustery evening.

Andy Gabb won the match from peg 16 with 9lb 14oz that included 2 bream. Peter Turner was second from peg 7 with 7lb 4oz that included a tench and Bob Bishop was third from peg 18 with 3lb 10oz that included a bream.

Evening Series - 17 June 2025

The latest Evening Series match was fished at Tortworth on 17th June, This was s bit chaotic due to an accident on the hill up towards Tortworth that created local gridlock, a few potential participants gave up and went home!

The evening was clear, warm and sunny with plenty of fish activity, but these proved difficult to catch.

Andy Gabb won the match from peg 16 with an excellent bag of 30lb 5oz that included 5 bream. Peter Turner was second from peg 15 with 8lb 8oz that included 2 bream and Steve Pearce was third from peg 7 with 3lb 8oz of roach.

Roger Stokes won the match from peg 18 with 14lb 8oz that included 3 bream. Andy Gabb was second from peg 5 with 7lb 15oz that included 1 bream. Rod Gabb was third from peg 16 that included one bream.

The latest Summer Series was fished at Tortworth on Sunday 1st June on a cloudy, day.

Roger Stokes was the winner on the day from peg 16 with a weight of 25lb 7oz that included five bream. Peter Turner was second from peg 18 with 11lb 2oz that included two bream. Pete Barnet was third from peg 25 with 5lb 6oz.

The latest Evening Series was fished at Tortworth on Tuesday 27th May on a cloudy, rainy blustery evening that made sighting a float difficult.

Dave Starkey was the winner on the night from peg 7 with a weight of 14lb 15oz that included two bream. Dick Vizard was second from peg 19 with 11lb 4oz that included two bream. Peter Turner was a close third from peg 5 with 11b 2oz that included two bream.

Roger Stokes was the winner on the night from peg 17 with a weight of 17lb 4oz that included three bream. Andy Gabb was second from peg 23 with 13lb 9oz that included two bream. Dick Vizard was third from peg 19 with 19b 1oz that included two bream.

Evening Series - 13 May 2025

The latest Evening Series was fished at Tortworth on Tuesday 13th May on a clear evening that had threatened rain earlier.

Roger Stokes won from peg 17 with a weight of 8lb 9oz that included a bream which was caught late in the match. Andy Gabb was second from peg 23 with 6lb 6oz that included a tench and Dick Vizard was third from peg 9 with 5lb 15oz that included a bream.

Evening Series - 6 May 2025

The first match of the 2025/26 Evening Series was fished at Tortworth on Tuesday 6th May on an overcast evening. The fishing was far more difficult than the previous Sunday with few large fish landed.

Andy Gabb won from peg 9 with a weight of 22lb 10oz that included a bream and a carp of 16lb 7oz. The carp was caught late in the match and good deal of skill was needed to land it on light tackle. Dave Starkey was second from peg 7 with 9oz and Roger Stokes was third from peg 5 with 5oz.

Summer Series 4 May 2025

The first match of the 2025/26 Summer Series was fished at Tortworth on Sunday 4th May on a chiily breezy day.

Winner on the day was Jack Lewis on Peg 15 with a bag of 6 or 7 bream and smaller roach and skimmers for 42lb 5oz, all caught on the pole mainly in open water. Bob Spence was second on Peg 7 with a similar catch of bream and silvers of 41lb 0oz. Both anglers lost a number of good fish as the bream were fighting hard. Steve Pearce was third on Peg 5 with a mixed bag of 14lb 6oz.
