Evening Series - Tortworth

The latest match in the Evening Series was fished on a warm evening. Bream were needed to frame in the match.
Paul Cresswell won on the night from peg14 with 12lb 9oz that included three bream. Roger Stokes was second from peg 4 with 9lb 6oz that included a bream and tench with roach. Peter Turner was third from peg 20 with 6lb 7oz that included one bream and roach.
Tortworth Charity Match - Summer Series
28 June 2026
The charity match was fished on a warm breezy evening with six members participating. There were fish for all to catch but the larger specimens were a but elusive.
The winner was Roger Stokes on peg 23 with 12ln 10oz of bream and roach. Steve Pearce was second with a similar bag that weighed 10lb 15oz from peg 18. Paul Creswell was third on peg 7 with 6lb 5oz of roach and a small tench. £60 was raised for charity including donations from members who could not attend.

The latest evening series match was only fished by three anglers due a combination of extreme high temperature’s and that it coincided with the England world cup match. It was decided, wisely, to use the dam wall to take advantage of some shade.
The winner on the night was Roger Stokes on peg 18 with 10lb 12oz of 2 bream and roach, remarkably similar to his winning catch last week off the same peg. Alan Jenner was second on peg 15 with 8lb with 2 bream and roach, Rod Gabb was third on peg 16 with 13oz of roach.

The latest Evening Series match was fished on a warm overcast evening, however, the participants needed to work for bites.
The winner on the night was Roger Stokes on peg 18 with 10lb 11oz that included two bream. Alan Jenner was second on peg 16 with 5lb 6oz with one bream and roach. Paul Creswell was third on peg 8 with 5lb of roach and skimmers.

The latest match in the evening series was fished on a breezy evening. Conditions were tricky and bites hard to come by for many.
Winner on the night was Andy Gabb on peg 26 with a bag of Skimmers and a tench. Roger Stokes was second on peg 15 with 8lb 1oz that included a bream. Rod Gabb was third on peg 23 with a tench of 2lb 6oz.
Popes Gully - Evening Series
2 June 2026
The latest Summer Series match was fished at Popes Gully on the evening of 2nd June on a cool cloudy evening after a lot of afternoon rain. All of the field caught but the quarry was small carp, the only two larger fish landed by Dave Starkey. There were several catches of 100+ carp.
The winner on the night was Dave Starkey on peg 8 with 9lb 10oz including 2 carp. Roger Stokes was second on peg 11 with 3lb 10oz followed closely by Peter Turner on peg 2 with 3lb 8oz.
Th view of the majority is that the next match on Tuesday 9 June should be fished at Tortworth.
Harescombe, Meadow Lake - Summer Series
31 May 2026
The latest match in the Summer Series was fishes at Meadow Lake on a warm partly cloudy day. The fishing was tricky early on but improved later in the match.
The match was won by Paul Creswell on peg 14 with 33lb 15oz caught mainly on the pellet waggler. Jack Lewis was second on peg1 with 20lb 5oz, assisted by a very late large carp. Pete Barnett was third on peg 15 with a mixed bag of 15lb 11oz. Tony Skal had a notable catch of an eel that weighed in at 2lb 15oz.

The latest evening series match was fished on a very hot sunny evening, the water temperature had reached 23 degrees.
The winner on the night was Peter Turner on peg 15 with 6lb 7oz that included 1 bream and roach. Jack Lewis was second on peg16 with 4lb 6oz with 1 bream and roach. Andy Gabb was third from peg 3 with 2lb 2oz of rudd and roach.

The latest match in the evening series was fished on Tuesday 18 May.
The winner on the night was Dave Starkey on peg 5 with 11lb 6oz. Alan Jenner was second from peg 17 with 8lb 11oz and Dave Bater on peg 3 8lb 3oz.

The latest match in the summer series was held at Windmill Fishery on Sunday. It was a difficult day with bites hard to come by.
Paul Creswell won the match from peg 22 with 12lb 8oz. Peter Turner was second with 9lb 11oz and Dave Starkey was third with 9lb 4oz from peg 14.

The weights at the top were very close. The winner on the night was Alan Jenner on peg 9 with 11lb 11oz. David Bater was second on peg 15 with 10lb 15oz and Dick Vizard was third on peg 18 with 10lb 7oz.

The first match of the new year was fished around Tortworth on Sunday 3 May with seven participants. There were not many bream caught which limited weights.
The winner on the day was Dave Bater on peg 18 with 12lb 2oz.Paul Cresswell was second on peg 7 with 10lb 6oz closely followed by Steve Pearce on peg 25 with 10lb 0oz.
